Mr Arun Dhir is an Upper GI, Bariatric General Surgeon who is available for consultations and procedures.
Arun has had extensive surgical experience, in Laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery having trained in both Australia and overseas.
Mr Arun Dhir has a holistic approach to weight loss surgery with focus on post-surgical support for bariatric patients supporting long term success.
Whilst surgery is a tool for change, we prioritise on ongoing support for health and wellbeing, assisting patients in maintaining a positive mindset for lifestyle change.
Ongoing support is offered in many ways including access to our patient ‘cheerleader’ and wellness coach, dietetic reviews, live facebook posts and private private facebook support group.
Mr Arun Dhir aims to provide a prompt surgical service to all of your patients.
Arun is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK (FRCS). His is also a member of the ANZ Association of Gastro Oesophageal Surgeons (ANZGOSA) and the Obesity Surgery Society of ANZ (OSSANZ).
After receiving his Fellowship in General Surgery in the UK, he travelled to the US to work at a premier upper GI surgical unit at the University of Southern California. He has worked at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne, where he completed his post fellowship training. He is currently a Senior Lecturer (Surgery), Monash University.
