Dr Ayesha Saqib

Dr Ayesha Saqib is a senior consultant oncologist, a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and has private and public hospital appointments.

She completed her medical oncology training through the Victorian Medical Oncology Training Group in 2013 and gained additional experience in respiratory medicine and palliative care during her advance training.

Dr Saqib completed a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Teaching from the University of Melbourne and has an interest in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching. She is involved in teaching medical students and supervising oncology advanced trainees.

Clinical research is her other interest and she has been involved in the development and conduct of local clinical research trials.

Ayesha has published several research papers, book chapter and abstracts and is a principal investigator (PI) of many ongoing oncology trials.

Dr Saqib is passionate about providing her patients with an exceptional standard of care and believes in a holistic patient-centred approach, has an approachable personality, selfless attitude, and exceptional collaborative skills. Her aim is to improve patient outcome by incorporating novel agents and new modality of treatment in day to day cancer patient management.

Her private practice is located in central Melbourne and regional Victoria.
