Dr Charana Perera

Dr Charana Perera is a Consultant Psychiatrist and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).

He has a particular interest in anxiety disorders and OCD, mood and stress disorders, insomnia, psychotic disorders, transcultural mental
health, and assessment and management of substance use disorders.

Committed to research and education, Dr Charana Perera has delivered multiple presentations at international forums and authored in peer-reviewed publications.

After serving in Queensland public mental health sector for a lengthy period, Dr Perera has joined Pine Rivers Private Hospital as a full-time Pscyhiatrist delivering both in-patient and out-patient care.
