Dr David Tong is a general and interventional cardiologist with an expertise in coronary stent procedures via the wrist.
He graduated from medical school at the University of Melbourne and undertook advanced cardiology training at Eastern Health, Monash Health and Peninsula Health in Melbourne. He completed a PhD through the University of Melbourne and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. Following his PhD, David undertook a fellowship in coronary stenting at the University of Newcastle/Freeman Hospital in England.
He provides in-patient and ambulatory care in his consulting rooms at Knox Private Hospital.

David is actively involved in research. He is the lead investigator of a major multi-center clinical trial and participates in both investigator-initiated and commercial research.
