Dr Georgina Paizis

Dr Georgina Paizis graduated from Melbourne University in 1990 with honours. She spent her undergraduate and post graduate career at the Austin Hospital and was admitted to the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 1998.

Georgina undertook subsequent studies in the area of the mechanisms of liver cirrhosis and was awarded a PhD in Hepatic Fibrosis from the University of Melbourne in 2004. From 2002 to 2004 she served her Clinical Fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease at Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital in the United Kingdom.

She performs endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy and colonoscopy) at John Fawkner Private Hospital.

Georgina will always make time to see urgent referrals. She is fluent in Greek.
