Mr Ian Michell

Mr Ian Michell is a specialist surgeon and founding medical director at multi-disciplinary Surgical Weight Loss Solutions.

Mr Michell graduated from Melbourne Medical School in 1977 and was awarded FRACS from the College of Surgeons in 1985.  He then travelled to England for post-graduate fellowship before returning to Melbourne as a consultant surgeon.

He has a vast experience with over 30 years of clinical practice. 

Mr Michell is a member of a number of professional bodies including the Australia and New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society.

Surgical Weight Loss Solutions offers an array of obesity surgery procedures including endoscopic procedures, gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, mini gastric bypass and roux-en-Y gastric bypass and includes a team of dietitians, psychologist and bariatric physicians.
