Dr Irene Stevenson is a cardiologist and arrhythmia specialist. She completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne and St Vincent’s Hospital and went on to specialist training in cardiology at Box Hill Hospital and The Alfred Hospital. This was followed by a clinical fellowship year in electrophysiology at Monash Medical Centre prior to commencing a higher degree at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Dr Stevenson runs the Royal Melbourne Hospital pacemaker clinic with Associate Professor Harry Mond as well as being in charge of the satellite country device clinics in Shepparton and Albury.
Dr Stevenson is involved with teaching and supervision of international and local trainees especially in the clinical skills of device implantation. She has authored and coauthored over 20 publications in international journals and is a regular reviewer for the Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology Journal.
