Mr Jacob Vanyai

Mr Jacob Vanyai is a General Surgeon with a particular interest in Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) conditions. He is keen to ensure all his patients receive the best possible care utilising minimally invasive surgical techniques and modern enhanced recovery protocols.

Mr Vanyai trained in General Surgery at Monash Health and Alfred Health. Admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013, Mr Vanyai gained additional experience in General Surgery at Royal Darwin Hospital and in Upper GI surgery at John Hunter Hospital and Western Health.

He is accredited to perform diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Mr Vanyai is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Gastro Oesophageal Surgery Association and the Australia and New Zealand Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Association. He remains an active member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons as an instructor in surgical and critical care skills.

To ensure a safe and effective recovery from surgery, Mr Vanyai offers a 24 hour on-call service for all patients.
