Dr. Jithin Sajeev is a consultant cardiologist who graduated from medical school at the University of Otago, New Zealand. He moved to Melbourne to undertake his clinical and fellowship training. He works in both public (Eastern Health) and private practice setting in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Jithin is available to see patients at Knox Private Hospital.
Jithin completed his cardiology training through Eastern Health, Monash Health and Peninsula Health. After being awarded the Fellowship by the Royal Australian College of Physicians, he completed a fellowship in the management of cardiac rhythm abnormalities and cardiac device implantation. This includes the implantation of cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders and cardiac resynchronisation therapy for heart failure.
Dr. Sajeev runs a specialised clinic at Box Hill Hospital dedicated to treating patients that have experienced dizziness or syncope (blackouts).
Jithin continues to be involved in medical research, with numerous peer reviewed publications. He is completing a PhD through Monash University, researching abnormalities of the heart that lead to strokes. Jithin also contributes to medical education for junior medical staff.
Dr. Sajeev approaches medical care as a partnership between the patient and the clinician. He strives to inform his patients about their medical condition to facilitate shared management decisions.
