Mr. Kareem Marwan is an experienced and accomplished consultant General, robotic surgeon who subspecialises in Colorectal (lower gastrointestinal) surgery.
Mr. Marwan's practice is largely minimally invasive, with Robotic Surgery at the centre of it. He also performs upper and lower GI endoscopy and advanced lower GI endoscopic surgery.
Mr. Marwan is fluent in Arabic and French.
Mr. Marwan obtained his surgical fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in
2012, after training at St Vincent’s Hospital, the Alfred Hospital and Monash Medical Centre.
He subsequently undertook a training fellowship in the subspecialty of Colorectal surgery in the UK
(Colchester). Colchester Hospital NHS trust is one of the leading centres which pioneered laparoscopic
bowel surgery.
Besides being a fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), Mr. Marwan is a fellow of the
Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd), a member of the Association of Coloproctology of
Great Britain & Ireland (ACPGBI), and a member of the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP).
