Dr Kate Barclay is a graduate of the UNSW completing her resident training at Gosford Hospital. She undertook her physician training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Royal North Shore and Concord Hospitals. She completed a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine through James Cook University. Kate became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2008. Since obtaining her Fellowship, Kate has worked as a private consultant with the Peninsula Respiratory Group; a practice that specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory and sleep disorders on the Northern Beaches. She is involved in all aspects of clinical respiratory and sleep medicine, particularly interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis and non-tuberculous mycobacteria.
She also works as a visiting medical officer at the Peninsula Sleep Clinic. She has dedicated many years of her career to caring for patients on the Northern Beaches and has developed good working relationships with other health care professionals in the area.
