Miss Marion Chan is a fully qualified specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. She was awarded her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at Monash University in 2007 and began her surgical career by completing two years of intensive accredited general surgery training in breast surgery, upper gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery. Upon entering formal training in plastic and reconstructive surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in 2013, she subsequently completed her fellowship examinations and was admitted as a Fellow of the College.
Throughout the years Marion received specialist training from many major plastic surgery units in Victoria including Alfred Health, St Vincent’s Hospital, Austin Health and the prestigious Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit. She also maintains an active interest in surgical research and was awarded the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Trainee Prize at the Annual Scientific Congress in Kuala Lumpur (2012).
Marion is fluent in both English and Cantonese – currently learning Arabic and on her way to being tri-lingual! Her kind and empathetic personality allows her to develop rapport rapidly with patients from diverse backgrounds.
She prides herself in her ability to solve problems in an intuitive and compassionate manner and strives to go above and beyond to ensure that her patients are comfortable and have a voice in their treatment.
