Dr Michele Macnamara

Dr Michele Macnamara is a Gastroenterologist who has devoted herself to delivering quality care to the Northern Beaches community over more than 20 years. She has a wide range in interests including oesophageal, gastric, small/large intestinal, hepatic and pancreatic disorders and has extensive experience in endoscopic intervention including oesophageal dilatation, upper and lower gastrointestinal polypectomy and percutaneous gastrostomy. 

Dr Macnamara received her MBBS (Hons) from the University of Sydney in 1988 before training at Royal North Shore Hospital. She was an advanced trainee in Gastroenterology at Royal North Shore Hospital for 2 years before spending a year at Westmead Hospital as an advanced endoscopy registrar gaining further expertise in endoscopy, colonoscopy and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). She received her FRACP in 1995, has accreditation via the Conjoint Committee in Endoscopy, and is a member of GESA and the AMA.
