Dr Nghi Mai

Nghi graduated from University of Queensland in 1996 and completed his internship at the Mater Hospital.  After returning from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, he completed his Physicians Examinations at the RBH in 2002.  In 2003, Nghi commenced advanced training in Cardiology at the Concord Repatriation General Hospital in Sydney, returning to Brisbane’s PA Hospital three years later to perform research in right ventricular function & pulmonary hypertension using advanced echocardiographic techniques.

Nghi has been practicing with the Queensland Cardiovascular Group since 2006.  He has experience in transthoracic echocardiography, treadmill and Dobutamine stress echocardiography and diagnostic coronary angiography.

Nghi is delighted to provide the following services at Brisbane Private Hospital:

• Inpatient consultations
• Inpatient perioperative care, and outpatient pre-op cardiac work-up
• Transthoracic and Transoesophageal Echocardiography
• 12-lead ECG and Holter monitoring
• Diagnostic Coronary Angiography (via St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital)
