Dr Samuel Yang

Brisbane-born surgeon Samuel Yang graduated with a medical degree from the University of New South Wales in 2000 before returning to Queensland and working as an intern at the Mater Hospital.

Dr Yang then spent one year as a general surgical PHO at Logan and Nambour hospitals, followed by two years as a general surgical registrar at Toowoomba, Rockhampton and Ipswich hospitals.

After training in plastic surgery at the Princess Alexandra, Royal Brisbane, Mater and Greenslopes hospitals, Dr Yang obtained his fellowship in plastic surgery in 2011 before travelling to the UK where he gained more experience in microsurgery, sarcoma, melanoma, breast and upper limb surgery at the Oxford University Hospital.

Since 2013, Dr Yang has been a consultant plastic surgeon at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.  He is a member of the PA Hospital Melanoma Unit.
