Dr Sean Burnet

Dr Sean Burnet has been working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Sydney for more than 15 years. He completed his training at The Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney. He has also completed a Fellowship year in Advanced Laparoscopic and Pelvic Surgery in Western Sydney at Sydney West Advanced Pelvic Surgery Unit (SWAPS). Dr Sean Burnet is involved in the lecturing and teaching of medical students at both the University of Sydney and The University of NSW. Dr Sean Burnet is married and has 2 children. He appreciates the joys of parenthood and understands the anxieties around childbirth that prospective parents can feel.

Having been involved in the management of many pregnancies Sean has developed the expertise and skills required to minimise risk to mother and baby and to give parents the assurance they need. He recognizes a mother’s autonomy in decisions around childbirth and he seeks to actively provide support and reassurance to mothers and their partners in this regard.
