Dr Victor Liew is a Bariatric and Upper Gastro-Intestinal Surgeon who specialises in laparoscopic surgery for obesity and metabolic disorders.
After completing his medical degree at Monash University, Victoria in 1995, Dr Liew commenced surgical training in 2000 in Queensland and completed the FRACS in 2005.
He spent an additional two years in postgraduate training in bariatric and upper gastro-intestinal surgery, before relocating to the Gold Coast as a surgical consultant more than 10 years ago.
Dr Liew is a member of Australian and New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgery Society, Australia and New Zealand Gastro Oesophageal Surgery Association, Gastroenterological Society of Australia and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
He specialises in bariatric surgery and laparoscopic surgery performing a diverse range of primary and revisional bariatric procedures for obesity and metabolic disorders.
Dr Liew provides services to patients on the Gold Coast as well as rural and remote areas of Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
