Dr William Bye

Bill is a Staff Specialist Gastroenterologist at Prince of Wales Hospital a Visiting Medical Officer at St Vincent’s Hospital and is currently an Honorary Medical Officer at St George Hospital Inflammatory Bowel Disease service.

He completed his Gastroenterology training at Prince of Wales and St Vincent’s Hospitals. He completed a fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, United Kingdom. He has published articles in international peer reviewed medical journals on Inflammatory Bowel disease. He was the recipient of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia Travelling Scholarship award in 2015.

Dr Bye is the current Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee at Alexandria Specialist Day Hospital. He is committed to ongoing teaching and has lectured at Notre Dame University Medical School, University of New South Wales medical school, has contributed online lectures to a Masters of Medicine at University of Sydney and is actively involved in teaching basic physician trainee’s preparing for specialist exams at Prince of Wales Hospital. Dr Bye has published research in international peer reviewed journals and continues to actively participate in research currently.
